'She'd been fainting for a week': Miranda Kerr's mother 'collapsed several times before she was admitted to hospital for genetic heart arrhythmia'

Miranda Kerr's mother Theresa Kerr was said to have been admitted to hospital because of a 'genetic heart arrhythmia' last week.

However, the full extent of her recent health scare has now been revealed by her PA Caitlin Chrisholm, who says she had fainted a number of times in the days leading up to her recent stay at Royal North Shore Hospital.

Speaking about the 48-year-old's medical condition, which forced her to cancel her Divine product launch, Caitlin told New Idea: 'Therese was feeling bad and fainting for about a week, so she went to hospital.'

Speaking to the magazine ahead of Therese's recent release, she added: 'It's not serious and she'll be out of hospital very soon. She's normally as strong as an ox, but at the moment her family and everyone needs to be there for her.

'She's been getting tests done. It was just unfortunate timing that it's all happened now.'

On Saturday, after her three day stay in hospital, Therese appeared to be on the mend in pictures Miranda, 31, and her mother uploaded onto social media of their family making the most of the sunshine on Sydney Harbour.

As well as looking well, the pictures also showed that their family bond was stronger than ever.

Miranda also took another snap on a boat, which was captioned: 'Fun in the sun with Mum! @theresekerr.'

In the sweet image, Therese was seen shielding her eyes in a pair of black over-sized Celine shades, while Miranda smiled radiantly.

Miranda also caught a special moment between her grandmother Ann and son Flynn.

Ann, who was the inspiration behind Miranda's Royal Albert tea-set collection, and her three-year-old, spent time together basking in the harbour city's sun.

Therese and family have been sure to be make the most of their time with Miranda and Flynn before they jet back to New York later in the month.

Other snaps Terese posted over the weekend after her hospital stay was a black and white selfie of her and her husband, John, grinning from ear-to-ear with the Sydney Opera House in background.

'On the Harbour with family. How blessed are we,' she captioned the loving shot.

Just before their harbour trip Therese took to social media to thank everyone for their support.

'Hey gorgeous people, thank you everyone for your well wishes during my recent stay in hospital,' she wrote to her 12,200 followers alongside a picture of a beautiful bunch of pink blooms.

'I have a genetic heart arrhythmia, which I have had to have routine tests for after a couple of recent incidences, but all is great now as I am home with my beautiful family.'

She has her own PA. Didn't realise she was so important that the world needs updates on her and her families every move. Maybe her health would be more better if she stopped hogging the lime light and live a peaceful quite life. She is attracting negative press towards herself and demeaning her relationship with Miranda for the sake of screen time. I have a hard time feeling sorry for her. She is milking sympathy when there is no she should keep her life and health private unless she is trying to promote a cause. Which she isn't!
