'I'd like to have a son': Bruce Willis strolls with wife Emma and daughter Mabel as he opens up about wanting a boy

By Heather Waugh

It's been less than two weeks since the arrival of their second daughter Evelyn Penn.

But Bruce Willis can't wait to add to his family with wife Emma Heming.

On Monday the 59-year-old spoke to People at the 21st annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women in Los Angeles about being father to five daughters.

Although happy to have so many females in the family, the actor confessed he would love to have a son one day. 'Eventually, I’d like a son. But I’m okay now,' he says.

Speaking of Evelyn's arrival the star said: '[We] didn’t know what we were gonna have until the baby came out.

'In general, I think women should be in charge of everything. They should be running the country'.

He added: 'Even if I had five boys, I’d still feel the same way.'

The couple smiled broadly as they took time to relax on Sunday, wandering around Beverly Hills with eldest daughter Mabel. Bruce looking cheerful as held on tightly to his precious daughter.

He looked great in a crisp white t-shirt and pale blue shirt accentuating his muscly arms.

And covering up with a blue Dodgers baseball cap and shades, he looked like an all-American dad as strolled around his local farmers market.

Emma, 35, looked in great shape too but covered her tummy in a loose fitting floral blouse. However, the model did show-off her trim legs in a pair of skinny jeans and cute red loafers.

The mother-of-two glowed as she held onto her husband's arm while casually pushing the stroller.

According to Us Weekly their new daughter weighed in at 8lbs, 10oz.

However, baby Evelyn was nowhere to be seen for the family outing, so Mabel got some one-on-one attention from mum and dad.

Dressed in an adorable pink and orange flower-print dress and little brown sandals, the two-year-old looked content in her father's arms.

Bruce, 59, and 35-year-old Emma married in 2009.

And the Die Hard star additionally has three daughters from his previous marriage to Demi Moore.

The former couple, who were married from 1987 until 2000, are parents to 25-year-old Rumer, 22-year-old Scout and Tallulah, 20.

Back in 2012, the actor revealed how raising his now twentysomething daughters was great preparation for becoming a father once again.

Why are there so many hatters in the world Bruce Willis has said nothing different to what every man in the World wants a Son first, and healthy baby second on top of that he already has five daughters. Mr Willis who does he think he is.

Maybe there is some kind of problem with the Y chromosome. Maybe the "boys" died when they were just few cells. He shoul not force this thing. The law of biology do its thing. And he has beautiful girls! :)

His little girl Mabel is one prettiest little girls I've seen. Looks like her mommy, who is beautiful with her coloring.

Why? At 69 way to late and old for all those father/son activities. Why do that to your son to satisfy your selfish needs, Bruce?

To be fair he was asked the question and gave an honest answer. He will have a grandson soon enough, which will be much nicer at his age.

He's almost 60. Even if he kept trying for a son chances are high that he'll father more daughters because it's been proven that older men are much more likely to make girls.
