Hilary Swank dazzles in bridal-style gown at Cannes premiere of The Homesman ... as it is showered with rave reviews by critics
She is dating Frenchman Laurent Felury and Hilary Swank has clearly been picking up some style tips on her frequent visits to his native country where she lives part of the year.
The 39-year-old double Oscar winner caused a stir on the red carpet at the premiere for her new movie The Homesman at the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday.
Her bridal Ateliere Versace gown flattered her slim figure and was the perfect choice for the screening at the Palais des Festivals.

The strapless dress featured some extra material draped over one shoulder for an elegant look.
Hilary swept her long brown hair to the side and styled it with loose waves.
Her accessories were simple with dangling earrings and a bracelet along with a small clutch bag.

Other stars on the red carpet included Freida Pinto, who stood out in a huge red dress.
The strapless gown featured gold detailing and flowed out around her slim waist.
Suki Waterhouse, Adriana Lima and Hilary's co-stars including Tommy Lee Jones, Miranda Otto and Sonja Richter also walked the carpet.

Earlier in the day Hilary also wowed in a tricolour Bottega Veneta number which flattered her slim figure.
She kept the look simple with a pair of cream heels.
Period drama The Homesman tells the story of a claim jumper and a pioneer woman [Swank's Mary Bee Cuddy] who team up to escort three insane women from Nebraska to Iowa.

Hilary previously told the Inquirer about shooting it: 'I was on the prairie for 60 days. My character (Mary Bee Cuddy) is a farmer -I plow the fields and pump for water. My hands are all beat up.'
And it's
not surprising she had a huge smile on her face at the photocall as the
movie was warmly received by critics at Cannes.
Giving
it four stars, the Guardian tipped it for a prize at the festival.

'But also the consciously grimmer, austerer feel of Kelly Reichardt's Meek's Cutoff and indeed Lee Jones's own The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada.'
And The Telegraph also lavished four stars on the flick while praising the chemistry between Swank and Jones.

While HitFix noted some problems with the movie, Hilary was praised.

Miranda glowed in an orange short sleeved dress while Sonja's belted patterned dress was perfect for the balmy day in the south of France.

Hilary Swank is one of the great actresses of her generation, she was absolutely incredible in Boys Don't Cry. Loved her in Million Dollar Baby too. I'm looking forward to seeing her new film. She looks stunning in these photos, what a lovely figure she has, great legs, such a tiny waist and full (natural!) breasts. Very feminine.
