He is arguably the world's greatest ever bodybuilder.

And Arnold Schwarzenegger is clearly still proud of his pumped physique after he was spotted taking a topless selfie in Cannes.

The Austrian Oak wore a cheeky grin as he flaunted his chiseled chest while gazing into his high-end iPad tablet on Sunday, though with a net worth of $300m he can certainly afford it.

And while his pecs may not be quite as pumped as they used to be, there is no denying he is in fine form for a 66-year-old.

He certainly does not seem to be any stranger to Pumping Iron these days, if his bulging torso and well developed arms are any indication.

The Commando star did not leave much to the imagination, as he wore just a pair of swimming shorts, though they are far less skimpy than the posing pouch he wore during his glory days.

Arnold was joined by a pair of sidekicks as he enjoyed the sunshine during a break from promoting his new movie The Expendables 3 in France.

Earlier he had been spotted enjoying a luxurious cigar during a tanning session, before later dancing the night away with old rival turned close friend Sylvester Stallone.

Arnold has been having a great time indulging himself during his time in the French city, which is home to the important Cannes International Film Festival.

He is quite the expert on tanning, as sunning yourself is a key part of a competitive bodybuilder's regime.

The Terminator star even passed on tips on the subject in his book The New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding.

It was back to the grind later in the day however, and he showed off plenty of as he grabbed co-star Sylvester Stallone, 67, for a spot of impromptu ballroom dancing.

The two kicked up their heels and waltzed together at the Gotha nightclub for an Expendables 3 party, sponsored by Matchless London.

Schwarzenegger wore a smart beige suit, while Stallone added a pop of colour with a violet blazer.

The duo are currently in Cannes to promote the latest installment in the Expendables franchise.

Schwarzenegger and Stallone both co-star in The Expendables 3 alongside Jason Statham and Jet Li.

An Expendables 4 is already in talks, and Pierce Brosnan is rumoured to star in the upcoming film, IMDB reports.
