Jamie Lee Curtis is one of few female celebrities to let her natural gray hair grow out.

But it looks like she's not totally alone.

The 55-year-old actress appeared to be in a great mood as she talked and laughed with a fellow silver-sporting friend as they made their way to lunch in West Hollywood on Tuesday.

Her husband of 30 years, writer-director Christopher Guest, was no where to be seen as the two pals enjoyed their girls day.

When she's not starring in a hit TV show or in a film on the big screen she moonlights as an author of children's books.

Her successful writing career has resulted in nearly a dozen different books published over the last 20 years.

Next up for Jamie Lee will be filming a new movie titled Spychosis, written by True Lies co-star Tom Arnold.
