A Seminole County teacher's assistant recently bonded out of jail after he was arrested for an alleged sexual relationship with a teen girl.

Investigators started looking into William Nordin, 25, after they received a tip Wednesday about possible sexting between him and multiple students at Hagerty High School in Oviedo.

Nordin's alleged victim, a 17-year-old girl, told investigators she had sex with him on three different occasions, including twice at his apartment, according to an arrest report.

"The inappropriate sexual contact is believed to have occurred over the past two months at Nordin's Oviedo apartment," according to Sheriff's spokeswoman Kristen Bentsen.

Deputies arrested Nordin on Thursday, charging him with sexual battery of a victim 16- or 17-years-old. His bond was set at $10,100, deputies said.

Nordin was hired in July 2012 to be an assistant football coach at Hagerty High School. He was later hired in September 2013 to be a teacher's assistant at the school, said Michael Lawrence, spokesman for Seminole County Public Schools.

He supervised virtual courses and handled in-school suspensions, according to Lawrence.

"His employee contract was not renewed, hence he wasn't being retained for the next school year," Lawrence said.

Investigators will continue looking for any additional victims in Nordin's case, Bentsen said.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call the Seminole County Sheriff's Office at 407-665-6650.
