By Cassie Carpenter

Gerard Butler might have a womanising bad-boy reputation, but there's only one leading lady in his life at the moment - his dog Lolita.

The handsome 44-year-old suited up to discuss the size of his tiny pet pooch on Thursday's episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers.

'She's a little Pug and she's beautiful,' the Scottish stud - who once romanced Jennifer Aniston - told Meyers.

'It's weird because I never thought about [how small she was] when I got it, and I fell in love with it and basically adopted it.

'But then suddenly when I saw the first paparazzi photos...and she barely comes up to my ankle and it's like, "What are we doing together?!"'

Bearded Butler looked dapper as ever on the late-night programme, his navy suit and necktie even brought out his baby blues.

Gerard had only one request for the DreamWorks animators creating his How to Train Your Dragon character Stoick the Vast.

'Just make me more handsome than [fellow Scot] Craig Ferguson (Gobber),' the 300 actor joked.

'Look you're playing a viking. I'm like 20 feet wide. I'm about 600 pounds. "Can you fiddle with my mustache a little bit? Maybe man-scaping?" No, I don't really have much imput.'

The 6ft2in hunk continued: 'But they put cameras all over the room when you're [recording] and then they animate with accordance to how you move your face...When I saw it in the theatre I was like, "I know those eyebrows!"'

When describing what it's like to be a Scottish football fan, Gerard called it a 'life full of romantic tragedy and broken hearts.'

Butler recalled: 'We used to make it to the World Cup and we'd win against a fantastic team and then lose to a horrible one.'
