Baby on board! Winona Ryder sports a burgeoning bump in New York... but it's only for her latest movie

By Chelsea White

Winona Ryder is about to become a first time mother at 42 - well her character is at least.

The actress appeared to be revealing a very well kept secret in Brooklyn, New York, on Thursday when she stepped out sporting a very pregnant belly.

While she appeared to be at least six months along and her pregnancy looked very realistic, it was all for show.

The Beetlejuice star has taken transforming for a role to another level for her new film The Experimenter, The Stanley Milgram Story, donning a fake bump to play real life person, Sasha Menkin.

Sasha was the student and the object of affection of Stanley Milgram, an American social psychologist, who developed the idea of six degrees of separation and the infamous Obedience Experiments at Yale.

The experiments saw people follow instructions blindly and confirm to the point they were willing to shock their peers with up to 450 volts.

Peter Sarsgaard is playing Milgram in the indie feature, which started filming earlier this month.

On Thursday, Winona was dressed a red bring dress which clung to her large bump, a grey sweater and a pair of colourful lace up shoes.

While the bump was only for show, the 42-year-old appeared to be uncomfortable screwing up her nose as she walked along with a script and coffee in hand.

The film does not yet have a release date but is the Heathers star's only current project.

How great it would be for Wynona's career made a huge come back as Gwyneth's falls apart.

To be fair, everyone hates Gwyneth.

Gwyneth's career already has tanked. Everybody realised there was nothing special about her, Winona on the other hand is a very special, talented and beautiful woman. Go Noni.

She looks a lot younger than 42, hasn't changed much since the 90s. Shame a great talent who's career was overshadowed by her need to steal.

She clearly had mental health issues at the time . Leave her alone and remember that none of us is perfect
