He's known for his fashion forward sensibilities.

But when Jaden Smith stepped out for an early morning green juice on Thursday he looked a bit more practical in his sartorial efforts and ready for outdoor activity.

The 15-year-old grabbed the healthy tonic while wearing Spandex cycling shorts as he was joined by Disney star Mateo Arias in the iconic beach town of Malibu, California.

The son of Will Smith wore a black shirt and athletic trainers as he smiled brightly.

Carrying an armload of snack along with the green juice, the Karate Kid star flashed a huge grin he left health food shop Sun Life Organics.

Arias, for his part, sported strappy Roman style sandals, harem joggers, and a big grey hoodie as he lugged a gallon jug of water with him.

The After Earth star attended the wedding last month of reality star Kim Kardashian and singer Kanye West and stole the spotlight in many Instagram snaps wearing a white Batman costume.

The bride's momager Kris Jenner, 58, was delighted with Jaden's choice of outfit.

She opened up to Huffington Post Live recenlty and gushed: 'He is the greatest kid in the world. I'm very close to Jaden and he's like one of my own, you know.'

Kris told host Caitlyn Becker. 'And he had this Batman costume on and I thought it was just genius. When you look at it ... it sounds just crazy. It was beautiful. He looked so good, and so fun, and he also has a really good sense of humor.'

She continued: 'Actually, the Batman costume was really cool and fabulous, and it was white and it was almost like, 'Oh, there's Jaden in his Batman costume.

'It wasn't like a crazy thing. It was actually really fun, and he added such a, you know, humor to the night and it was great.' the family matriarch said.

Jaden's mother is 42-year-old actress Jada Pinkett Smith.

He has a younger sister Willow, 13, and an older 21-year-old step-brother Trey Smith from his father's first marriage.
