Earlier this week, she was spotted hitting up some of LA's trendiest spots, but come Thursday, Ellen Page was making her rounds on the East Coast.

The X-Men: Days Of Future Past actress was spotted hanging out with a male friend in New York City as they enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the streets on the warm, sunny day.

Staying true to form, the actress was rocking her favorite 'Tom Boy' cap, paired with ripped jeans, a white T-shirt, denim vest and tan shoes.

Her signature headwear, which has become a staple item in her wardrobe, would have rendered her recognisable from a mile off by anyone familiar with how much she loves the statement accessory.

The 27-year-old Juno star wore her long brunette tresses down in messy waves beneath the cap, while when she wasn't chatting with her companion, she talked on the phone as she walked along.

She sported huge dark brown shades over her eyes and appeared to be more or less make-up-free, while she carried a black backpack filled with necessities.

Her bearded friend was dressed in a similar style, also wearing jeans, Converse and a plain black T-shirt, while he carried a black hoodie in his hands - not that he needed it on the hot day.

Ellen will soon join Julianne Moore in the comedy-drama Freeheld, which also stars funnyman Zach Galiafianakis.

The story revolves around a New Jersey car repair specialist (Ellen) and her police detective lover (Julianne) who fight to get the latter's pension benefits after she is hit with a life-threatening illness.
