This little piggy ain't going to no market: Real-life Babe the pig leaps from a moving truck on his way to the slaughterhouse

By Sadie Whitelocks

One little pig wasn't ready to go to market, as a new video clearly demonstrates.

The hoofed animal was filmed en route to a slaughterhouse in South America, by a motorist traveling behind its crammed delivery truck.

First its head pops up, then it manages to prize its body to the surface. Finally, it leaps overboard at high-speed and rolls to the ground.

Despite plummeting more than ten-feet, the brave hog picks itself back up and stumbles over to the grassy verge.

It is not clear what happened to the animal after its death-defying stunt.

The motorists who filmed it in action, are heard voicing their concern in Spanish as the camera continues to roll.

To date, the video of the pig has been watched more than 60,000 times since it was uploaded to LiveLeak on June 11.

One viewer said after watching its fight for freedom: 'I love pork, but he obviously deserves amnesty for his bravery. Run little fella. Be free. You deserve it.'

And another rejoiced: 'That little piggy didn't go to market. That little piggy went wee, wee, wee all the way home.'

It's never too late to give up the bad habit of eating the flesh of any sorts of animal. Try to rear and butcher your own animals. Go visit a slaughterhouse, you might be enlightened.
