Nicole Kidman was the belle of the ball Friday night as she walked the red carpet as the guest of honour at the Swisse Celebrate Life Ball in Melbourne.

Accompanied by the most important man in her life - husband Keith Urban - the pair made a striking couple as they cosied up in front of cameras.

However despite the loved up couple drawing attention - it was Nicole's plunging neckline on her figure hugging nude Prada gown which was the main attraction at the event.

The Oscar-winning movie star showcased her cleavage in the outfit, which made her bust appear a lot more voluptuous than normal.

Her assets looked perfectly pert in the floor length designer frock.

Kidman, 46, stunned with the very low cut dress which clung to her tall, svelte frame.

The frock was embellished with glittering silver detail that wrapped around her body and neckline like tinsel decorating a Christmas tree.

Ever the doting husband, Urban looked on proudly as Kidman hammed it up playing with a black lace and feather mask that highlighted the event's masquerade ball theme.

Laughing, the Grace Of Monaco actress even slipped the handle of the mask between her teeth at one point and mugged for the photographers.

The mother of two was the host of the Swisse Celebrate Life Ball, which was attended by a who's who of Australian celebrities at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne.

Channel Nine TV personalities Sonia Kruger and Karl Stefanovic were among the first stars to walk the red carpet at the Grand Hyatt, hiding their faces behind lavish masks, in keeping with the masquerade theme.

Happily getting into the spirit of things, Gold Logie winner Karl chose gold headpiece decorated with black feathers, while Swisse ambassador Sonia kept it understated with a kitten mask.

Celebrity chef and MasterChef judge George Calombaris was the man tasked with feeding the biggest names in Australian showbiz, preparing an extravagant three course meal.

For a the main course guests chose betwen oil confit salmon and black taramosalata dip or lamb, slow-roasted obver 24 hours and served with kale puree, sweet potato, and tahini yoghurt.

Set It Off singer Timomatic was among the entertainers at the charity gala, along with fan favourite Jessica Mauboy.

The 24-year-old Pop A Bottle performer channeled old school Hollywood in a smoky, grey and black Alex Perry gown with lace and floral detail.

Not to be outdone, X-Factor Australia judge Natalie Bassingthwaighte also wore Perry and showed off her post-baby body in a simple black dress, letting her dramatic mask do the talking instead.

I didn't realize she'd also had a boob job done in addition to all the face work. She barely looks like the "original" version of herself any more and the changes are not improvements.
