'I wish I was dead already': Fears for Lana Del Rey, 27, over dark interview where she says dying young is 'glamorous' and idolises 'The 27 club'

By Eleanor Gower

She released an album back in 2012 entitled Born To Die.

And now in a disturbing new interview, Lana Del Rey says she believes her life is like 'one
f***ed movie' and she's adamant she doesn't want to live anymore.

The 27-year-old singer, who shot to fame following her hit Video Games, told The Guardian newspaper: 'I wish I was dead already... That's just how I feel. If it wasn't that way, then I wouldn't say it. I would be scared if I knew [death] was coming, but ...'

The brunette beauty admits Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain, who both died aged 27, are her heroes and she insists there is something beautiful about dying young.

Asked whether she regards early death as glamorous, she replied: 'I don't know. Ummm, yeah.'

Lana, whose computer was hacked in 2012 and her songs were leaked online, admits she hasn't felt any pleasure towards fame in the three years she's been in the spotlight.

She explained: 'I never felt any of the enjoyment. It was all bad, all of it.'

The star also said she no longer wanted to 'keep doing this' referring to her music career.

The Born to Die hitmaker also revealed that she had planned to work with Velvet Underground's former frontman Lou Reed - who passed away on October 27, 2013 - but he died the day she flew out to America to meet him.

She recalled: 'I took the red eye, touched down at 7am... and two minutes later he died.

Lana, real name Elizabeth Grant, may have received rave reviews for her music, but she was the subject of some backlash and accusations of 'fakery' after the success of Video Games and has previously discussed her battle with alcohol.

In fact she appears to crave a life away from the spotlight and the media that 'always puts an adjective in front of my name, and never a good one.'

THE '27 CLUB'

The notorious 27 Club, also known as Forever 27, is a group of musicians who have all died at the age of 27 while struggling to cope with fame.

Amy Winehouse was the most recent victim, passing away at the age of 27 on July 23 2011 of alcohol poisoning at her London home.

Pumped with heroin and valium, Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain turned a gun on himself in 1994

Life is precious and should be a joyful experience but it's not for so many people which is very sad.

Depression is real and can happen to anyone. Sounds like she has a low self esteem and was bullied or judged her whole career, (and maybe even before she became famous)...sad...
