Most British women know that a bit of fake tan can give you a healthy glow, more contoured abs and longer legs.

And now it seems that men are catching on to the power of faking it, with new research revealing that over a quarter of them would use a bronzing product.

Sales are soaring so much for one tanning brand that it's even unveiling the first-ever male tanning glove, which comes in an extra-large size.

To meet the demand - and to help men pull off the look - tanning brand St.Moriz has created the ultimate guide, which aims to help men cheat their way to a perfect Brazilian body.

To create a contoured clavicle, the experts instruct men to use their middle finger, blend a small amount of the dark shade on top of collar bone before sweeping the remainder underneath the bone.

Then, they say, you should apply the lighter highlighting shade onto the bone and use the brush to blend and soften before finishing with a light sweep across the bone.

To achieve a sculpted stomach to rival Ronaldo, breathe in to find your muscles and use the dark shade to draw three vertical lines on either side of the abdomen and down the centre between the ribs to give the illusion of a defined stomach.

From flab to abs: To create enhanced chest muscles, use the dark shade to create a dark line in the centre of your chest bone. Form a dark arc sweeping up and around from the inside of pectorial and use the highlighter on the inner top of each cup
Get the look: Using the dark, draw two short lines on the top of each side of the pelvic bone and blend each line really well feathering outwards to soften the effect

To create the impression of well-defined abdominals, use the dark bronzer to create small horizontal lines starting from underneath the diaphragm and then under each ab.

Again using the dark colour, draw two short lines on the top of each side of the pelvic bone and blend each line really well feathering outwards to soften the effect.

To create enhanced chest muscles, use the dark shade to create a dark line in the centre of your chest bone. Form a dark arc sweeping up and around from the inside of pectorial and use the highlighter on the inner top of each cup to make the chest muscle look fuller.

Finally, finish with a sweep of bronzer for an even more muscular result.

A spokesperson for St. Moriz said: ‘Men and fake tan are no longer a taboo subject and with more men fake tanning than ever, it is important we respond to this growing demand.

'With our plans to launch the first-ever man sized tanning mitt, we are one step closer towards giving our male fans that perfect natural golden glow the ladies have known about for years.

'We are also looking at other ways we can tailor specific products towards a male audience and are excited about the innovations in the pipeline and this will form part of our business strategy going forward.'
