But Emma Roberts swapped her gothic attire for a preppier look on Friday.

The 23-year-old showed off her slender legs in a wool skirt and matching jacket during a photoshoot at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.

The actress looked elegant in the outfit, which consisted of a blue-green short skirt and jacket, paired with a black blouse and black loafers.

She wore her short blonde hair sleek and in a side parting, and kept her make-up fresh, opting for rose-tinted lips.

Emma was fussed over by a stylist while the photographer framed his shot.

The We're The Millers actress has just returned from a trip to Hawaii where she enjoyed some beach time with fiance Evan Peters, 27.

The couple were seen enjoying a stroll on the beach in Maui last week and Emma also took to her Instagram to reveal a bikini selfie writing 'wish you were here'

She also picked up the 2014 Shining Star Award at the Maui Film Festival looking fantastic in a figure-hugging red dress.

Quite a change: Emma is known for playing a witch on the TV series American Horror Story

Emma will be returning to the fourth season of FX's American Horror Story: Coven, and recently admitted on the May 21 episode of The Queen Latifah Show that she still doesn't know what her role will be.

The actress admitted: 'We don't know our characters and I'm kind of nervous... I ran into one of the writers in a parking lot the other day and I was like, "Hey! Is there anything you can tell me about the show?" And he was like, "Good to see you Emma, bye!" and like got in his car and drove off.'

The upcoming 1950's-themed season of American Horror Story: Freak Show will premiere on FX in October.
