They are both household names in Australian fashion, and it looks like Miranda Kerr, 31, and Cheyenne Tozzi, 25, have been friends from way back, during the earlier stages of their modelling careers.

The Face Australia mentor Cheyenne took to her Instagram account on Saturday with a cute flashback photo of herself with Miranda.

‘The good old days @mirandakerr,’ she captioned the black and white photo of the two stunners smiling for the cameras with goofy grins - a look very different to their current signature polished pouts.

With Miranda’s arm wrapped around Cheyenne, the pair seemed stoked to be in each other’s company, absolutely beaming with their pearly whites on show as they excitedly posed for the snap.

Miranda’s dark locks were pulled back into a ponytail, while Cheyenne’s luscious tresses were kept out.

While the former Victoria’s Secret model is yet to officially reply to her old friend’s nostalgic post via social media, the throwback image has certainly been popular with fans, already yielding in over 900 likes and plenty of gushing comments.

Miranda, originally from NSW country town of Gunnedah, originally launched her career at the age of 13, signing up to a modelling agency before taking out the winning title in a Dolly modelling competition the following year.

Fashionistas: Both Miranda and Cheyenne first hit the big time in modelling around the age of 13, and in 2012 Cheyenne was rumoured to replace Miranda Kerr as a David Jones ambassador, although that scenario never eventuated

Meanwhile Cheyenne who was brought up in Sydney’s beachside suburb of Cronulla, also shot to fame at the age of 13, becoming one of the youngest models to grace the cover of high-end fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar.

With their similar career journeys, it makes sense that these two Australian beauties are friends.

The pair haven’t been photographed together in recent years, with both taking the fashion world by storm in their own respect.

Cheyenne most recently starred on the first Australian series of reality show The Face, mentoring model hopefuls alongside Naomi Campbell and Nicole Trunfio.

Back home: Miranda recently returned to Australia and as an ambassador for Swarovski, attended the jewellery brand's special event in Sydney last month

She is currently overseas, most recently in Stockholm for some modelling projects according to her Instagram account, and is dating Sydney music manager Tyson Mullane.

Miranda, who split from movie star husband Orlando Bloom, 37, in October 2013, has not only been managing her own skincare line Kora Organics, but taking some time to play mum to the pair’s three-year-old son Flynn.

Last month the Swarvoski ambassador returned to her home country where she graced the exquisite jewellery brand’s special Sydney event with her presence.

Hmm, so Cheyenne is one of those friends who post "not approved" pictures of their friends on social sites, huh? Miranda must have been fuming. Ha! I kinda like it, it shows the fun side of Miranda Kerr. She can't be perfect all the time.
