Father's Day on Sunday saw a slew of celebs jump on social media to give special shout outs to their beloved parents.

And supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley was no exception.

The 27-year-old took the opportunity to post an intimate flashback photo on Instagram of her and father Charles Huntington-Whiteley.

It's easy to see Rosie was a star from the beginning with her trademark blonde locks and plump lips already on display.

'Happy Father's Day to my first true love, my wonderful Dad. Thank you for always believing in me and guiding me through life. Everything I do is to make you proud,' Rosie captioned the photo.

As her modelling and acting career continue to take off, Rosie says it's rewarding to be able to look after her family.

'I do spoil them. I love them to bits. I think part of working so hard is so that you can spoil your loved ones. And I don’t have children yet so it’s very much about spoiling Mum and Dad,' she revealed in an interview with Stylist.

Adding: 'They never got to travel that much when they were younger and had us. I didn’t go abroad until I was 15. So now I love to be able to send them on holiday and make sure my brother and sister have everything they need.'

Proving her fashion credentials, the blonde stunner looked effortlessly stylish when she stepped out at LAX Airport to board a flight to New York on Sunday.

Back on the silver screen: Rosie is set to appear in Mad Max: Fury Road, which will hit cinemas next year

Working a studded leather jacket, grey marl T-shirt and skinny black jeans the Transformers actress oozed elegance. She completed the look with a green suede Céline handbag, cat-eye sunglasses and white pumps.

While she's usually gracing the covers of glossy magazines, the British babe has started to take up more acting roles.

Most recently working on Mad Max: Fury Road, which is set to be released in 2015.

'Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy are the leads, but I have a nice part. I loved the old Mad Max films,' Rosie said of the flick.

There was a so-called child 'expert' recently who said children shouldn't spend nights with their Dads. That photo and Rosie's comments amply demonstrate just how beneficial the relationship between a child and father can be. It really is time we stopped the highly prejudiced from separating children and their fathers.

have you tried it? have you tried flying back and forth over the atlantic, more than once a week for over a year i a row, staying in shape, watch what you're eating, be 100 percent present before a camera on a 14-18 hour shoot, be highly energetic on the shoot, because that's what they pay you for? it might not be the worst job in the world, but it sure can be hard, especially in her league, and everything that that brings.
