Eva Longoria is one of the most attractive actresses in Hollywood.

But the Desperate Housewives star reminded everyone she has a brain too as she picked up a newspaper outside her LA home on Thursday before heading out in a casual chic ensemble that included a very tight white blouse.

The 39-year-old celebrity had just returned from the Taormina Film Festival in Italy where she was given an award on Tuesday for her humanitarian efforts.

The Over Her Dead Body actress also worked in colour to her look by wearing a pair of green skinny jeans and strappy brown wedge sandals.

Adding a retro touch, the brunette beauty sported a pair of large cat-eye sunglasses.

The star was followed by what appeared to be her personal assistant.

It seems she's constantly been on the go, as Wednesday evening the stunning star was spotted at Ken Paves Salon.

At the 60th Taormina Film Festival honouring women in film Eva spoke about how Desperate Housewives transformed her career and how grateful she is.

Can't forget this! Eva made sure she picked up the newspaper to catch up on current events

'Desperate Housewives changed everything in my life, it really allowed me to have a reach all over the world so I am very happy to be here at the Taormina Film Festival being honoured with my humanitarian award,' she said.

Eva spoke on the fourth day of the festival as she collected her Humanitarian Award for her Eva Longoria Foundation.

The Eva Longoria Foundation helps Latinos reach their potential through education and entrepreneurship. It also supports programmes which help Latinas excel in school and attend college, as well as career training, mentorship, funding and opportunities.

Also at the event was her friend Melanie Griffith.
