This was probably my fave San Francisco outfit. The brogues were an impulse sale buy and were too nice to be covered up by the flares of my jeans, hence me rolling them up. I often find that impulse buys are the best and most versatile items you own, plus sometimes you just can't leave lovely things behind (a bit like not being able to leave that puppy in the pet shop). They served me very well walking up and down the unforgively steep hills of San Francisco, seen here on the corner of Fillmore and Hayes.

Stopping for a rest whilst walking and taking in the wonderful view that is San Francisco Bay (Alcatraz in the background!)... comfort was needed that day as we did so much walking. Loving my pre-holiday purchase of my coral-red bag (how can it go with just about everything???)

Taken at San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (what a beautiful building) in front of an installation on the top floor. Jeans, comfy tank (worn several times on holiday, I did wash it!) and a statement necklace. Hard not to get your hair stuck in it, though.

So here it is - my first post on my 39th birthday. The challenge? To look as good as possible in my forties, remembering I'm not 22 anymore. Who cares that I'll be forty soon - I kinda see it as a challenge. Bring it on!
