A chance to rise to running and cycling challenge
ACTIVE Workforce’s first Duathlon Challenge – sponsored by Go Tri – will be taking place on March 26 at Litherland Sports Park.
The Leeds-Liverpool canal passes through Litherland. It was famous for its gala and procession of shire horses and floats from the docks. Linacre Lane was once home to a huge Bryant and May Diamond Match Factory which was destroyed in the 1941 May blitz. The Beatles played some of their earliest gigs at Litherland Town Hall in 1961.
That's all from me. Join us again from 6:30am tomorrow, when Ben Turner will be back bringing you all the latest breaking news.
