Andy Murray might be out, but SW19 continued to attract the rich and famous today to watch Novak Djokovic and Grigor Dimitrov square off in the men’s semi-finals.

Notably present was Maria Sharapova, girlfriend of semi-finalist Grigor Dimitrov, who skipped his victory against Murray in the quarter-finals after being knocked out of the competition herself.

And while Murray’s tragic fall on Wednesday was watched by British royals, today’s game attracted Hollywood royalty too with actor Bradley Cooper joining his British girlfriend model Suki Waterhouse, alongside actor Jude Law. Prince Andrew, Prince Michael of Kent, his son Lord Frederick Windsor and wife, actress Sophie Winkleman represented to the Royal Family today.

Golfer Jack Nicklaus, former Irish rugby union captain Brian O'Driscoll and adventurer Bear Grylls are also set to enjoy the best view of the world's most famous lawn, while the strict dress code for players will be under close scrutiny by American Vogue editor Anna Wintour.

On Wednesday there was chatter about the absence of Dimitrov's girlfriend of two years, while Kim Sears took her usual prominent spot to support Murray.

However the importance of today's match clearly was not lost on Maria, who surveyed the court from under her sunglasses ahead of the match.

The 27-year-old suffered a humiliating shock defeat to German ninth seed Angelique Kerber, ending her dreams of a Wimbledon title on Tuesday and, perhaps licking her wounds, was noticeably absent in the stands on Wednesday.

The pair began dating in 2012, but only confirmed their relationship in 2013 after the Madrid Open, and while she is known for a will of iron, she may find her hands are full with the 23-year-old Bulgarian.

The 6ft 2in blonde, who has previously said that she feels Dimitrov's tennis is of a better standard than her own, was spotted supporting him in the stands as he won the French Open last month.

Dimitrov has credited his other half with helping his performance, saying: ‘She’s just been unbelievable supporting me throughout the year.’

While Maria was sat in the players box, avid tennis fan US Vogue Anna Wintour headed to the Royal box to watch the centre court action.

A long-standing friend of Roger Federer, Anna has been known to enjoy morning tennis sessions with the 32-year-old, and even hosted the player's 31st birthday party.

American Bradley Cooper, 39, was one of the first to arrive today, protectively holding his model girlfriend's hand as they were whisked into the stadium.

Rumours have been circulating of late about the stability of the couple, who have a 17-year age gap separating them, as Suki, 22 has been seen out partying without her actor boyfriend.

However there was no sign of any trouble in paradise as the pair giggled and chatted animatedly in the stands ahead of the start of the first match.

As well as Djokovic and Dimitrov, Milos Raonic will also face seven-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer in today's semi-finals in what promises to be a nail-biting day of tennis.

Djokovic, the Serb No 1 seed, reached the semi-final after defeating Marin Cilic, while Dimitrov was responsible for ending Andy Murray's hopes of defending his title with a fabulous display.

Expected to be just as tense a match is Federer's stand off against rising youngster Milos Raonic.

This year the royal box has been as full as ever as Wimbledon fever swept the country.

The Duchess of Cambridge was among the esteemed guests who graced the royal box on Wednesday to watch Andy Murray face Bulgaria’s Grigor Dimitrov on Centre Court in the quarter final clash.

The 32-year-old was joined by husband Prince William, Princess Beatrice and her long-term boyfriend, Dave Clark, comedian Michael McIntyre, and England rugby union coach, Stuart Lancaster in the Royal Box.

The agony of watching Murray drop out of the tournament was evident in Kate's expressions as she fiddled winced and grimaced through the game.

And while most guests, like Kate have been riveted by the tennis, Sir Alex Ferguson caused a collective laugh when he nodded off in the royal box in the match last week.

The former Manchester United manager had earlier closed his eyes to enjoy a brief snooze as rain halted play in all matches at the All England Club in the early afternoon, but manage to get back on his feet to cheer Murray in his victory against South Africa's Kevin Anderson.
