Sounds like a wild night! Miley Cyrus and friends get tattoo of her dead dog Floyd at house party after smoking 'joint'

A tattoo, much like a dog, is for life and just not for Christmas.

But that did not stop Miley Cyrus getting an image of her dearly departed pooch Floyd inked onto her side at a house party after puffing on a 'joint' on Saturday.

She uploaded to Instagram images of herself and some her friends getting matching tattoes at the bash, which seemed to be getting thrown at her house in Los Angeles.

The Wrecking Ball star and her cohort were getting inked with a design of the adorable pooch, with a speech bubble coming from it saying, 'with a little help from my friends.'

Perhaps it is her way of reasserting her devotion and paying tribute to her favourite four-legged friend after adopting a new pup called Emu last week.

She insisted she made the move with her old dog's blessing, even though he died after being attacked by a coyote back in April.

Miley and Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne were shown getting the tattoos, though other users tagged in the pictures included  Katy Weaver and zacharyancox, while her brother Trace Cyrus is also shown at the party.

She had the work done after she posted a picture of herself taking a not-so-sly puff from a 'joint' being held by a man wearing a unicorn head.

The Wrecking Ball star was obviously tickled by the image, for as well as uploading it to her she also shared it with some of her friends.

Wayne wrote: 'Finally at Cyrus's place with rainbow unicorn passing a joint...'

The popstrel seemed to be having a great time partying in the picture, in which she wears a rainbow coloured T-shirt emblazoned with cannabis leaf symbols and shorts, while wearing her hair in ludicrously childish pigtails.

On the same day she also posted an image in which she is seen holding her head to a man's tattoed torso while sticking her tongue out.

Miley was devastated after her three-year-old Alaskan Klee Kai Floyd was killed by a coyote in April.

But less than three months later, she welcomed her new puppy into her Studio City home last week, Rough Collie 'Emu Coyne Cyrus.'

She even went as far as taking a shower with the adorable pooch, which bears a striking resemblance to old television and movie favourite Lassie.

'He's here and here to stay! I welcomed Emu Coyne Cyrus into the family a couple days ago,' Cyrus wrote of her 'secret' adoption.

'It's taken some time to be ready for this next step and loving again...I'm blissed the out right now. I feel like this is a new beginning in so many ways.'

The Golden Globe nominee has previously adopted all of her dogs from the Spot! Pet Boutique in Los Angeles, aside from one which she found in a Walmart car-park.

Even when her mother Tish adopted a Yorkie mix called Moonie, Cyrus wasn't ready yet and parted ways with him mid-April.

The former country crooner was publicly more upset about Floyd than when she split with her fiancé Liam Hemsworth in September after a four-year romance.

Stop giving this girl dogs unless SHE herself actually is ready to look after them! Isn't the poor thing that died the second of her dogs that have died whilst she's been gallivanting all over? She shouldn't be allowed a bloody dog unless she's there for it. Money doesn't mean you have the ability to look after an animal, having dogs - especially pups - is almost as demanding as having toddlers! It needs so much attention, constant care, not this pick up and drop whenever you wanna go out and get high. Grow up, Miley.

Somebody so young, with that much money and influence on people could be promoting so much more in society that such as charity, and self respect but instead she seems to spend her time like most, vainly taking selfies, singing uninspired songs and wasting her money on drugs, Sigh. I know she is young and trying to be rebellious but women like Emmeline Pankhurst and Aung San Suu Kyi were a lot more rebellious but in a way that contributed to society. She could use the tools she has to do something special.
