By Helen Zhao

She is always photographed taking her dog Finn for a walk.

And on Monday Amanda Seyfried was feeling more adventurous as she took her Australian Shepherd paddleboarding while in her bikini.

The 28-year-old actress posted a photo on Instagram and captioned it: 'It was surprising, at first, that Finn was so eager to jump aboard. Now, I can't enjoy paddling without him. The same can be said of my life.'

The A Million Ways To Die In The West star donned a black top with floral high-waisted bottoms, showing off her toned midriff and slender arms and legs.

Her sunglasses were perched atop her head with her long blonde hair swept over one shoulder, as she concentrated on paddling.

Finn looked relaxed as the two ventured out into the expansive lake bordered by trees, under a brilliant blue sky.

'We walk my dog. And we make these smoothies in the morning - they're called “greenies.” He got me onto that. Super healthy.'

They are wonderful dogs. I had an Aussie who looked quit a bit like him. Had to have him put to sleep 10 days ago. He loved doing anything with me. He just loved going places.

Sheesh what a bunch of sour pusses. Go ahead and count out all the dogs you've known that have drowned. I got zero. I can't recall how many stories I've read about humans jumping in to "save" their dog, and the humans drown while the dog makes it to shore. There is a number of things their that float, including the paddle board AND what or whomever is 5 foot away taking the picture. If you tip, the board doesn't sink. The dog would probably be back to it before you are. Just push him back up on it. It's not going anywhere. The only trouble I could see is if ALL the humans there drown first in some catastrophe. And if all the humans drown first... my money's on the dog making it to shore. They always seem to.

I spend summers at a leash free dog beach. It is clear to me that they are out some distance. Watching a dog drown is not pretty.

The dog was fine! Someone took the pic, so who is to say that person is not on land and she is only five feet from the shore? Maybe we see the illusion that she seems like she is in the middle of the lake. Dogs can swim. Maybe not for miles, but, they can swim. I am sure she is smart enough to know how to take care of her dog.

PETA needs to see this stupidity. For all of you who are negative, is the photo of the dog so cute that you totally ignore its life threatening situation? Dog doesnt even have a life jacket. Or are you of the common mentality that animals are disposable?

Chill out!! Most dogs know how to swim. I'm sure this dog is no exception.

This woman is totally ignorant. If the board capsizes how in the bell will the dog get back on the board? If they were out far enough in the water, the dog would drown.

I'll tell you "how in the bell" he'll get back on: with a little help from his loving mistress. And if the board 'capsizes" you will have the other side of the board to get on - simple I would think.
