Rita Ora poses alongside 'real' New York City scenesters for DKNY's latest hipster-themed campaign
Rita Ora and a gang of other ‘real New Yorkers’ star in DKNY’s latest fashion campaign.
The I Will Never Let You Down singer, 23, poses alongside the city's downtown scene-stealers including high fashion models like Soo Joo Park and music figures like rapper A$AP Illz.
In a brief interview accompanying the campaign, Miss Ora explains that her favorite part of the city ‘would probably be SoHo mixed with anything in Brooklyn – it’s almost like a different kind of world, but not.’
Campaign star: Rita Ora (far right) stars in DKNY's new fall campaign alongside a gaggle of other 'real New Yorkers'
Near and far: The cast includes multiple born-and-bread city kids as well as recent transpants from locations including Germany and Miss Ora's native London
She is seen wearing the label's fall clothing including varsity jackets, fur coats, denim, and leather handbags.
Miss Ora is a New Yorker by way of London, having moved to the city at the age of 17 to pursue a career in music.
‘It's the first place I lived when I moved out of London to start my journey and it’s where it all began for me,’ she said of the city’s luck.
If she were to spend a day around New York with anyone dead or alive she says she’d pick ‘Marilyn Monroe and I'd ask her to take me shopping and have a girls' day out eating and laughing.’
Brand favorite: Miss Ora has previously starred in DKNY denim and fragrance campaigns
Dream date: If Miss Ora could spend a day in New York with anyone dead or alive she would choose Marilyn Monroe
The campaign, photographed by Lachlann Bailey, also features similar interviews with the campaign’s remaining cast which includes born-and-bred NYC natives as well as recent transplants.
They include photographer and downtown progeny Brandee Brown as well as model Eliza Cummings.
Each cast member shares their favorite New York spots for hanging out and having a drink.
Accessory game: Miss Ora also promotes the brand's line of bags, watches, and eyewear alongside models Eliza Cummings and Soo Joo Park
Cool kids: All of the campaign's participants have a place in New York's current downtown culture and are heavily involved in the arts and nightlife
Miss Ora says hers are ‘Soho house and the Darby, as they are both so private but have such great energy.’
The campaign is just the latest addition to Miss Ora’s DKNY-centric resume. The brand appears to have a strong admiration for the singer, as it has already case her in DKNY Jeans ads, as well as the campaign for its My NY DKNY fragrance.
