She has made no secret of the fact that she is currently enjoying her stay in London.

And it seems life across the pond agrees with Lindsay Lohan, who looked happy and healthy as she dined out with friends on Saturday.

The 28-year-old, who was surprisingly demure in a pretty frock, sipped on a glass of water at private members venue George Club.

Her recognisable red hair tumbled down her shoulders and she opted to keep her make-up to a minimum.

While Lindsay is often known for racy attire, her blue and white print sun dress was sweet yet sophisticated, marking a change for the star.

It appeared to be a leisurely weekend for Lindsay who teamed up with her stylist and BFF Manny - go-to shopping guru - for a shopping excursion.

The star modeled a floral bandeau Miu Miu swimsuit and posed alongside her friend pushing out her shoulders to accentuate her collarbone as she gazed sultrily at her reflection.

She balanced on the balls of her feet to add some height to her frame and placed one hand on her hip. Her auburn locks were down and her long fringe fell across her eyes, which were covered with a pair of mirrored sunglasses.

Manny, who was clad in an all-black ensemble with red trainers stood by her side and looked appreciatively at his muse.

And whether it was a gift from the fashion house or she was just elated to have found the garment, the star happily captioned: 'Ummmm... Thank you @miumiu.'

Meanwhile, Lindsay is getting ready to star in her first West End production, Speed The Plow, by David Mamet.

She fits right in: Lindsay puffed on a cigarette as she left the venue after a bite to eat

The Mean Girls star excitedly shared a snap of the newspaper ad for the play and captioned: 'Cannot wait to give it my all!'

And she has made it clear that she intends to commit to the role and has promised to not miss any shows during the 10-week run.

Speaking to BBC News she said: 'I'm at a place in my life where I like the commitment. I'm looking forward to that part of it.'

And speaking about her desire to rehabilitate her image, she explained: 'I want to be known for my talents and my work that I create, rather than a tabloid sensation,'

She continued: 'However long it does take, I'm willing to do it. I'm willing to work for it'

The production, which originally starred Madonna when it opened on Broadway in 1988, is scheduled to run at the Playhouse Theatre for two months from September.

She will play Karen, a role that pop star Madonna made her own in the original run, and will have to perform eight shows a week which will require effort on Lindsay's part to be on time and stay focused.

With all the stories about her being fired from the movie Georgia Peach, missing calls for filming her Oprah shows and photo sessions, her diva-like behavior when she does show up and trashing any space rented for her like she did to Liz Taylor's trailer I'm surprised a stage show is taking a chance on her. A director on a sound stage can shoot around her or film another scene but a theater audience isn't going to sit around waiting for the curtain to rise while she catches up on her sleep or parties with friends. The producers are really taking a chance hiring her, I just don't see this working out for them.

Just once I'd love to see her reading a book, or playing a sport. The human brain needs stimulation. If she got herself a hobby, learn the guitar...something, she could be happy. All she does is visit bars.
