By Daily Mail Reporter and Carolyn Hiblen

On Saturday night, the cast and crew of Fast & Furious 7 came together for a well-deserved celebration as they toasted the film's long-awaited wrap with a party.

With filming having been pushed back significantly following the untimely death of star Paul Walker back in November as producers figured out how to deal with his beloved character Brian O'Conner's story arc, the latest instalment in the hughely successful franchise has finally reached completion.

Tyrese Gibson, who plays Roman Pearce and was a close friend of Paul's, took to Instagram to share several photos with fans as he shared a drink with director James Wan and Paul's lookalike brothers, Cody and Caleb Walker, who stood in for their sibling to help finish filming his scenes.

In a snap of Tyrese and 26-year-old Cody, who bears an uncanny resemblance to his big brother with his piercing blue eyes, genuine smile and blond mane, the 35-year-old actor and rapper gave
a shout out to his fallen comrade, whom he clearly still misses deeply.

His sentiment was also echoed by director James Wan, who wrapped principal photography in California on July 10.

'THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart, to all my cast & crew, for making it thru the toughest shoot of all our careers. Love you all so much,' he tweeted on Thursday.

He then added on Saturday: 'Never had 3 wrap-parties for one movie before. But nice way to say thankyou and goodbye. #F7 (sic).'

While the film was originally slated for a 2014 release, having begun shooting in September 2013, Paul's shock death at the age of 40 in a car crash straight out of the movies saw it rescheduled for an April 10, 2015 premiere.

However, the date has since been moved up a week to April 3, with reports suggesting the studio is planning to drop the highly-anticipated blockbuster at the same time and date all around the world.

Meanwhile, another of Paul's former co-stars also paid tribute to the actor in an Instagram photo taken on Thursday.

Michelle Rodriguez, who has played Letty since the very first film, which premiered in 2001, shared a behind-the-scenes shot as she and fellow lifer Vin Diesel, who plays Dominic Toretto, completed their final scenes.

Making a point to show that Paul will never be forgotten, the 35-year-old shared the image with her 670,000 followers along with the heartfelt caption: 'Ride or Die through thick and thin 15 yrs later surreal to think we made it through such a tough painful production. But this ones for you P I hope
we make you proud love you.'

The photo shows Vin in the driver's seat of an American muscle car as the Avatar star sits up on the passenger side posing next to him.

The two chose opposite colour tank tops for the image as Michelle wore a white top with a lacy matching bra visible beneath while the Riddick actor donned a black one.

Paul's brothers agreed to film crucial scenes for the film following the star's death as a tribute to their sibling, with Cody taking on the majority of the responsibility due to his uncanny likeness to him.

And a production source tells the MailOnline that Cody will be given a role in future movies, saying: 'Paul's character Brian O'Conner will be seen retiring, while his younger brother will join the crew.

'Of course, Cody isn’t a replacement for Paul in any way, but the producers were really grateful that he stepped in to help them finish this last film and Cody [is] so likeable and charming.'

Aw this makes me so sad he wasn't properly a part of it. Probably won't be able to watch the film for crying! I don't normally get upset over celebrities drying but I'm surprised at how badly his death affected me!
