Heidi Klum stayed dry in rainy New York City on Monday, with the help of her umbrella-wielding bodyguard before treating her children to a movie.

The 41-year-old television star stepped out solo from her SoHo apartmentin a long black chiffon dress and matching leather jacket during a downpour.

The Project Runway star fortunately had a bodyguard who held a black and white umbrella as she made her way about in open-toed high heels.

The German-born beauty had her long blonde tresses down and carried a garment bag as she left.

Heidi was later seen with her four children leaving a movie theater in the Big Apple.

The former Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition cover model carried her four-year-old daughter Lou as 10-year-old daughter Leni walked beside her and sons Johan, seven, and Henry, eight, held hands with a nanny.

The star changed into a grey scoop-neck T-shirt, skinny black trousers and high-tops for the theater.

Her children were dressed casually in shorts and flip-flops for the movie excursion.

The doting mother regularly treats her children to entertaining shows and last week the family caught the Broadway production of Cinderella.

Reality star: Heidi was nominated recently for an Emmy for her work on Project Runway

Heidi was back at work on the set of Project Runway on Sunday and shared snaps on Instagram showing herself with show mentor Tim Gunn and judges Nina Garcia and Zac Posen.

Project Runway last week received its 10th Emmy nominaion for Outstanding Reality-Competiton Program with Heidi and Tim also receiving a nod for hosting the hit Lifetime series.

The reality show's new season is set to premiere on July 24 on Lifetime.

She cannot hold her own umbrella??? Wow, I am starting to lose any respect I have for this woman. She seems to be a good mom, so I will say that is her best trait. I feel sorry for the kids having to deal with all the cameras all the time.
