And now a snap has emerged of Amal Alamuddin in silks, briefs  and wig as she graduated from the bar, at the start of her illustrious career.

The human rights lawyer – who will soon be marrying Hollywood star George Clooney – not surprisingly looks delighted in the newly unearthed picture.

The Lebanese-born lawyer certainly has proved over the years that she has both brains and beauty as she initially graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Jurisprudence  from St. Hugh's College, Oxford.

She went on to win the Jack J. Katz Memorial Award  from the. New York University School of Law, before heading into the field of International Law at the UN.

Amal is currently a barrister at Doughty Street Chambers in London, but has also been appointed to a number of United Nations commissions covering international issues from Syria to the use of drones in counter-terrorism operations.

The Amal in that graduation picture  - first publish in Lebanese magazine Laha - could only imagine the type of impressive career she would have over a decade later, and no doubt would be shocked to find she was engaged to one of the most eligible men in Hollywood.

Indeed, no one thought George Clooney would marry again, not even himself as he won twice a bet against Nicole Kidman and Michelle Pfeiffer who both thought he would be hitched and with kids by the time he was 40.

Clooney then bet the actresses double or nothing that he would still be unmarried and childless at 50, a bet of course he won again.

But now after a whirlwind romance, George has finally met his match in Amal, who really is the only one out of his last few girlfriends he would have really settled down with.

The American actor is known for his political activism and humanitarian efforts to help the crisis in Darfur over the years, which even led to his arrest for civil disobedience outside the Sudanese Embassy in 2012.

His first marriage was to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993, and since then he has dated Kelly Preston, Renée Zellweger, Krista Allen, Lisa Snowdon, Elisabetta Canalis and his last ex-girlfriend Stacy Keibler.

Now Amal and George are checking out wedding venues near his Lake Como home as they are expected to say ‘I do’ this coming September.

Maybe George just likes intelligent well rounded women whom he can have not just social but political conversations with.

my incredibly shallow side doesn't see what he sees in her unless it's just to add a CENT of credibility to his political ambitions. ah-well, it's going to be funny watching him blame fox news for his loss.

It's not really that good of a school. It's just high profile because of the location.
