Emmy Rossum may not be on the beach or in the midst of a fabulous foreign holiday, but she sure does make a trip to the physio look super-glamorous.

Clad in a pretty white floral dress, the actress showed off her impressive fashion credentials as she strutted along the Beverly Hills sidewalk in gladiator sandals.

Emmy showcased her perfect pins under a lace overlay from her thigh-skimming mini, as she made her way to an appointment before indulging in a spot of retail therapy.

For Emmy's casual day look, the focus was on simplicity as she teamed her white, drop hem dress with a single pop of colour.

The 27-year-old threw an oversized red tote over her shoulder, ready for some afternoon retail therapy.

Emmy's dress featured a plunging neckline, accessorised only by a simple gold pendant to match a stack of copper-coloured bracelets on her swinging arm, and a white wristwatch that coordinated well with her pretty summer dress.

To continue her ethereal look, the actress twisted braids into a low ponytail, parted heavily on one side for a feminine finish.

She perched a leopard-rimmed pair of shades on her nose, despite walking on the shaded side of the boulevard under palm trees and alongside cafes.

Since the start of filming Shameless season 5 last week, the petite brunette has proved that she goes nowhere without making an effort.

Perfectly turned out in a 60s shift, Emmy showed up to a simple script-read on Monday with glossy, straight locks and a well-thought out make-up look to complete an enviable afternoon ensemble.

She even made working out look chic when she Instagrammed her animal-print workout wear later that day, proving that there never is a moment when she lets her fashion bar slip.

Emmy plays Fiona Gallagher in the US adaptation of Shameless, a character who does not share her penchant for glamorous dressing, opting more regularly for bedhead hairstyles and country-style tie tops and shorts.

She tweeted about her glee at being back in Fiona's shoes to film the new series, commenting that Converse were a far more comfy alternative.

The Shameless sidekick is a refreshing departure from normal life for the star, who seems to be enjoying the new season scripts and getting stuck back into the project.
