It was the big announcement Kim Kardashian has been waiting her whole life for.

But when the time came to make the exciting revelation to her family, she didn't get anywhere near the reaction she had anticipated.

During Sunday night's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, the 33-year-old gathered her sisters to inform them that she had been given the honour of gracing the April cover of American Vogue.

But if she thought she was going to be bombarded with congratulations and wellwishes, she was sorely mistaken.

The moment of truth: Kim Kardashian excitedly gathered her family members at mom Kris Jenner's house during Sunday night's episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians as she delivered the big news that she had landed the cover of American Vogue

With everyone gathered at mom Kris Jenner's Calabasas home, Kim took the opportunity to address her siblings, sharing with them what she believed to be hugely exciting news.

However, her family barely reacted at all to what is undoubtedly a massive boost to her career.

After initially joking that she was pregnant again, which also didn't garner much enthusiasm, Kim began by reminding her sisters of that day a month or so previously, during which she was MIA,
not returning their calls and being very cagey.

Unfortunately, none of them remembered the day in question, so she was forced to just move on.

Not quite the reaction she was hoping for! None of the 33-year-old's siblings rushed to congratulate her on the undeniably exciting news, which is a huge achievement seeing as Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour previously stated that a reality star would never grace the cover of her publication

'This is like when you're a little girl and you have this fairytale of being a princess - it's like the same exact thing,' she said of scoring the highly-coveted cover.

After she made her big announcement, you could hear crickets chirping, with no-one rushing to congratulate her on the accolade.

In fact, younger half-sister Kendall's reaction in particular was the complete opposite of happy.

The 18-year-old, who is an up-and-coming model and has since graced the pages of French Vogue herself, shot daggers at her sister, looking the most upset out of everyone, with the fashion bible the undisputed Holy Grail of the industry.

Dejected and clearly upset, the mom-of-one picked up her laptop and sat down to show the girls some of the shots taken on her phone during the shoot, as she admitted she didn't know which frames made the final cut, with the issue set to his newsstands that Monday.

She then showed them the photo taken by now-husband Kanye West - who appears alongside his bride in the wedding-themed shoot and on the cover - at a restaurant in New York when Vogue Editor-In-Chief Anna Wintour gave the couple the news they had been dying to hear.

The photo, which Kim shared on Instagram on May 1, sees her clad in a huge brown furry jacket with daughter North lying on her lap, staring off to the side at her daddy taking the happy snap.

No pulling the wool over her eyes! Khloé's reaction wasn't any better, with the 30-year-old calling out her mom for smiling like the Cheshire Cat, putting two and two together that she must have appeared in the shoot herself to be so excited - which of course was absolutely correct

Butt of the joke: Kourtney joked that she had been offered the cover of Natural Health Magazine, which Khloé very loudly and enthusiastically congratulated her on

Kim has a huge smile on her face as she chats with the famed fashionista, who is sitting with her arms crossed and her signature dark sunglasses on.

The only person who showed any interest in the exciting news was mom Kris, who was already in on the surprise.

The shoot took place at the 58-year-old momager's home, while she appeared in one of the snaps
in which she is holding her now one-year-old granddaughter North.

Cottoning on to the fact that her mom was way too excited, Khloé questioned her, asking if she appears in the magazine, which of course she does, which only made the siblings cringe even more.

Attempting to drum up some enthusiasm from her daughters, Kris explained to them that Kim landing the magazine cover is the equivalent of Kendall shooting a campaign for Karl Lagerfeld - which, funnily enough, she has since done, walking the catwalk during the Chanel Haute Couture Show
in Paris on July 8.

Kourtney then got in on the act, joking that she had been offered the cover of Natural Health Magazine, which Khloé very loudly and excitedly gushed over.

While she's certainly used to being the centre of attention, Kim admitted later to the camera that she was hurt by the lack of excitement her family showed.

'My sisters' reaction is so disappointing. This is such a big deal to me and they could not care less,' she lamented.

we all know kim is vain and attention seeking and i was annoyed when i found out she was on the cover of vogue, but i find her sisters reactions very weird- they were completely unsupportive. and i don't know why kendall was giving her dirty looks because if it wasn't her connection to kim and kanye she wouldn't have the opportunity to walk in top shows like chanel and givenchy.

She is always on the cover of something so they are most likely over it as being excited. I mean Kris is excited because she is also in it and she lives through Kim! Rally was that worth this big a deal. I don't think they were shooting daggers. I think they were more like confused on what the big deal is?

Kendal is turning out to be very nasty and bitter. That look on her face is evil. Jealous as I suspect she thought she'd get the cover. Kim and Kanye have helped her get every opportunity given to her and this is her gratitude? Kim is beautiful, looked so great on the cover. All of the other sister's are very diminishing of poor Kim.
