She is famed for being one of Hollywood’s most stylish leading ladies, and always manages to look preened to perfection.

So it comes as no surprise that Cate Blanchett stepped out in yet another elegant ensemble at the SK-II beauty event in Shanghai, China on Tuesday.

The 45-year-old actress, who has been named an ambassador for the company, was the epitome of class in a nude coloured number, which had a white lace and sheer overlay.

Opting to accessorise with nothing more than her wedding band and a pair of diamond stud earrings, Cate created an all-white look with nude patent heels.

She simply accentuated her famous features with a few strokes of black eyeliner and a rose pink lip and finished her natural make-up look with a hint of blush, while her blonde locks were swept to one side in a sleek ponytail.

According to Deadline, Cate has signed up to star alongside Robert Redford in upcoming drama Truth.

The 77-year-old actor is set to play iconic CBS News reporter Dan Rather with the actress playing his producer Mary Mapes.

The movie will reportedly delve into the scandal surrounding Rather's declaration that preferential treatment saw George W Bush enlisted in the National Guard in order to avoid being drafted during the Vietnam War.

Mapes was famously fired for 'lapses in judgment' after 25 years at the station following an investigation commissioned by CBS into what was dubbed 'Rathergate'.

The screenplay is being adapted from Mapes' 2005 memoir, Truth And Duty: The Press, The President, And The Privilege Of Power.
