Yolanda Foster's husband David reveals her ex Mohamed Hadid played cupid and set him up with the RHOBH star

Yolanda Foster and her former husband Mohamed Hadid might just be the friendliest exes ever.

The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star, 50, was introduced to her current husband, music producer David Foster, by her Iraqi estate developer ex three years after their 2003 divorce.

David, 64, revealed the identity of their millionaire cupid in an intimate interview with Haute Living Los Angeles for the July/August issue.

'Mohamed and I were friends, and we had this plan that we were going to live together. I was walking around his house, and I saw all these photographs of him and her and their children. I said, "That’s your ex-wife, and I’d like to meet her." So he introduced us,' David remembered.

But with three failed marriages behind him, the producer, who has worked with a host of A-level pop stars including Michael Jackson, Celine Dion and Madonna, took things slowly.

The two wed five years later on November 11, 2011, with an all-star line-up of guests that included Barbra Streisand, Oprah Winfrey, Muhammad Ali, Steve Wynn, Kate Hudson, Baby Face and Michael Bublé.

He admitted to 'regret on a personal level' for divorcing ex-wives B.J. Cook, Rebecca Dyer and Linda Thompson.

But also said he believed that meeting the Dutch former model and interior designer was meant to be. 'It all led me to here, which is a great place to be,' he said.

And now the couple are on the move, leaving their home in Malibu, California, for a 'small house with a city view' in the neighborhood behind the Beverly Hills Hotel in the ritzy Los Angeles neighbourhood.

'I love being in Malibu, but I’ve been here for 30 years, and the drive is starting to wear on me,' the Grammy-winning songwriter told Haute Living.

'You can’t just have dinner with friends who live in town: you have to leave here at five to get there at seven because of the traffic.'

Despite his A-list friends and his own successful career, David has stayed under the publicity radar. But his occasional appearances on his Yolanda's reality show are changing that.

'I was at NASCAR the other day, and a fan came up to me. I thought, "Oh, they must be Whitney fans, or Celine fans," but the women said, "We just love Yolanda!" It’s happening more and more now. These women had no idea who I was, other than as Yolanda’s husband on the show.'

And he's proud of his wife's role on RHOBH, saying: 'She’s living her truth on that show, and people respond to realists.

'It’s called The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills, but it’s not all real, as you know. Yolanda is very real and people respond to that in a very positive way. They like her truth.'

Meanwhile, in February Radar reported that Yolanda was pushing for her ex's fiancée, Shiva Safai, to join the RHOBH cast.

'Shiva is not only gorgeous, but she is a true class act,' a source told the website. 'Everyone loves her.'

And it seems the Dutch model returned the Cupid service, as the insider said: 'Despite being divorced from Mohamed, Yolanda encouraged him to marry Shiva. They have remained very close after their divorce because they have three children together.'
