And Taylor Swift showed she's quite capable in tricky footwear, as she helped a fan to disembark and dock her boat at a lake in Central Park in New York on Thursday.

The 24-year-old pop star sported hot pink pumps as she reached over a railing to aid the girl with whom she then posed for a photo.

The 22 hitmaker also relaxed under a shady canopy with a male friend, while seated on a bench with her legs crossed.

She enjoyed a cup of iced coffee and a pastry as she the duo engaged in conversation.

Taylor was also seen interacting with a couple holding up a camera, as she pointed out something in the distance.

'She spends an hour in the locker room post-workout so she can look flawless for the photographers who follow her,' a gym insider is quoted by the newspaper.

'Karlie [Kloss] turned her on to this gym a few months ago, and when Taylor’s in New York, she goes daily.' The gym is open to the public, but only by appointment.
