Look at those waves! Action megastar Jason Statham displays full head of hair as he dives for England at Commonwealth Games almost 25 YEARS ago

By Daniel Van Boom

He's known for doing his own stunts, but Hollywood film sets aren't the first place Jason Statham showcased his athleticism.

The 46-year-old represented England in the 1990 Commonwealth Games in New Zealand, almost 25 years before he became one of America's biggest action stars.

Jason, seen sporting speedos and a full head of hair, was unable to procure any medals - his best dive placed him eighth in the 1-metre springboard with a score of 487.26.

Having acting in films across the likes of Silvester Stallone, the Transporter star has had to muscle up since his diving days.

But 1990's Jason still has an impressive physique, complete with bulging traps, defined arms and an impressive six-pack.

He also took part in the 3-metre springboard and 10-metre platform, where he finished 11th in both events.

Jason would make his film debut eight years later when he starred in 1998's Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrel, a Guy Ritchie flick that grossed just under $30million.

One of his most recent blockbusters, The Expendables 2, made over 10-times that amount, with a worldwide gross of $311million.

And with Jason primed to play the villain in the upcoming Fast & Furious 7, his acting career is looking brighter and brighter.

He's also found himself in various relationships since representing England in 1990.

Jason dated Kelly Brooke for seven years before they broke up in 2004, and is often seen out and about with current model girlfriend Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
