Jesse Metcalfe and Cara Santana opted for the comfort of worn blue jeans on Sunday as they went to a restaurant in Los Angeles.

The 35-year-old Dallas store wore a tight brown T-shirt that displayed his bulging biceps along with his faded jeans and sneakers.

The former Desperate Housewives star sported a thick layer of dark facial stubble as he walked alongside his girlfriend of five years.

Cara also kept it casual with her faded skinny jeans that featured holes on both knees.

The 29-year-old actress also donned a loose white short-sleeved blouse and sneakers.

She had her long brunette tresses pulled back into a ponytail and shielded herself with large black sunglasses as she carried away an iced drink.

Casual wear: Cara and Jesse kept it simple in faded jeans

Cara has been chronicling her life as a fashionista on her own fashion blog entitled CaraDisclothed.

Her long-term boyfriend Jesse has been regularly featured on her site and they are both usually dressed up together at fashion events.

It was reported in January 2012 that Cara and Jesse got engaged, but in June the actor revealed that this never happened.

Going strong: Jesse recently clarified that he and Cara are not engaged, but are headed in that direction

'You know what, I'm not engaged. That's some misinformation,' Jesse clarified on Australian radio station KIIS 1065's Kyle and Jackie O Show.

'That's not to say we won't get engaged and won't get married, it seems to be going in that direction, but not yet. It's crazy because it's not like I don't have enough pressure to get engaged every day. It will take a bit of specialness away from the moment when we finally do.'

The Passions hunk then called Cara 'great' and 'amazing.'
