They were rumoured to be romantically entangled back in 2010.

And it looks like actress Natalie Imbruglia and infamous Australian playboy Justin Hemmes are still good friends, wining and dining together while the singer is Down Under on work commitments.

On Tuesday evening the 39-year-old chanteuse took some time out of her busy schedule to kick up her heels with the 41-year-old at the hospitality tycoon's newly opened Sydney venue Coogee Pavilion.

Clearly enamoured with the night the bewitching brunette threw her celebrity behind her good friend's launch sharing a shot of the twosome dining at one of the split level venue's eateries with her 49,000 social media devotees.

On a roll the Sydney-born starlet uploaded a second shot as she posed swapping her margarita glass for a healthy looking green juice as she happily smiled accompanied by Justin and a gaggle of female friends.

The London-based singer complained of her non existent love life while of Kyle and Jackie O's Kiis FM's radio show last week, saying she was 'so single'.

'I'm starting to consider that I should go on Tinder [online dating app]... Well where am I going to meet people?.'

Meanwhile high rolling Merivale CEO Hemmes, who operates some of Sydney's most exclusive bars and clubs, is rumoured to have recently split from his younger yoga instructor girlfriend Carla McKinnon.

The son of fashion and property tycoons John and Merivale Hemmes, the successful businessman had been dating the flexible blonde, who is almost 20 years his junior, since 2012, but reports that they've split surfaced in June.

'Jus gets a bit bored in relationships,' a source revealed to The Daily Telegraph saying that the couple's courtship fizzled.

Natalie and the hotelier were rumoured to be dating back in November 2010 when they were spotted out together enjoying a succession of cosy dates.

At the time it was reported that Justin had introduced Natalie to his father John at his private beach house near Berrara.

The elusive ladies man has also been linked to model Lara Bingle, model Alexandra Agoston and actress Amber L'estrange.

London-based Imbruglia is back in her home country to promote her new album which is due out in March, and features a series of cover songs by male artists.

She recently starred in an Alan Ayckbourn's play Things We Do For Love in the UK.
