Revealed: Maya Rudolph names fourth child after her late mother (who died aged 31) as she files birth certificate a year on
Maya Rudolph finally filed a birth certificate for her fourth child on Tuesday in Los Angeles - almost a year after she was born.
The document, obtained by TMZ, reveals the 42-year-old Bridesmaids actress gave birth to a baby girl on August 1 last year.
Poignantly, Maya and longtime partner Paul Thomas Anderson named her Minnie Ida Anderson, after Maya's late mother, singer Minnie Riperton.

Growing brood: Maya Rudolph and longtime partner Paul Thomas Anderson have finally filed a birth certificate for their fourth child, revealed to be a girl called Minnie, who she gave birth to last year
Riperton, best known for her 1975 song Lovin' You, tragically died aged 31, just two weeks before Maya's seventh birthday, in 1979 after losing a battle with breast cancer.
Maya and her director partner Paul have three other children together; Pearl, eight, Lucille, four, and Jack, three.
The couple were secretive about their fourth child after Maya gave birth at home last summer.
Under California law, a birth must be registered before the baby turns one, which will be in three days time.

News of Maya’s fourth pregnancy first leaked in February last year, but she didn’t confirm it until an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in April.
Former Saturday Night Live regular Maya revealed last year that her priorities changed after she gave birth to her oldest child Pearl.
'Before I had children, everything about my life was devoted to Saturday Night Live,' she said.
'It's really difficult to be there for anyone else in your life when you're doing the show because of the hours it demands.'

She previously told LimeLife: 'I'm a little bit of a pro now. The stuff that I use to fear and worry about is so different now.'
Maya admitted that bringing her first baby home from the hospital was stressful, but by the third child she and partner Paul were more relaxed.
'We didn't even have a car seat anymore, and when we finally got one we didn't even install it properly because we were just running out of the hospital', she said.
'We just wanted to get home. I even ended up just driving myself.'
Big screen: While she was a regular on SNL for years, Maya boosted her profile with her role in Bridesmaids in 2011
