True caffeine! Anna Paquin fuels up for a stylish shopping day with step-daughter Lilac

Even those who live to shop need a boost occasionally.

Anna Paquin made sure to grab a caffeine hit in West Hollywood, California, on Tuesday before hitting the fancy fashion area of Melrose Place.

Joined by her husband Stephen Moyer's daughter Lilac, the 32-year-old actress stopped in at celebrity hot spot Alfred for an iced coffee.

The 12-year-old also indulged in a sweet treat before the ladies hit the shops in the area.

The True Blood star - who just celebrated her 32nd birthday last week - stepped out in a dark ensemble.

For her day of coffee and retail therapy, the New Zealand star donned a thin black T-shirt with and an indigo denim skirt that flowed out as she walked.

What she has dubbed her 'mermaid' locks, feature blues and purples and was a way for the star to celebrate being able to do what she wants to her appearance following the end of her HBO hit.

True Blood is, of course, very special to the actress, as it is where she met her now husband.

The pair started dating from the time they filmed the series pilot in 2007 and were engaged two years later, before tying the knot in 2010 in a simple ceremony in Malibu.

The couple share 18-month-old twins, Charlie and Poppy, while Stephen has Lilac and a 14-yeasr-old son Billy from a previous marriage.
