He's one of Hollywood's hottest stars, and is more than used to fine dining.

But on Sunday night, Bradley Cooper traded in his usual gastronomic delights as he got to work honing his culinary skills by flipping meat in a popular fast food chain in central London.

The 36-year-old actor had a lesson from the experts at Burger King in Leicester Square to help him master 'the art of the flip' in preparation for his role as a chef in upcoming film Adam Jones.

A source told The Sun newspaper: 'Bradley was training alongside genuine Burger King staff. The aim was to learn the art of the flip, which he nailed fairly quickly.

'There was no real fanfare from him. You'd never know he was a big star by the way he spoke to people.

'He spent Sunday night learning the skills while the restaurant was open to the public and then filmed for most of the day on Monday.'

However, it's not just fast food chains that have been helping the hunky star - who is dating model Suki Waterhouse, 22 - perfect his culinary skills as he's also been taking advice from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

The F Word star, 47, recently said: 'As well as giving Bradley a few top tips on cooking, I've taught him the most important thing he needs to know in order to get by in a kitchen - how to swear.'

Adam Jones - which is being directed by John Wells - also stars Uma Thurman, Sienna Miller and Emma Thompson, and will be filmed in London until September 26.

Up until this week, Bradley has predominantly been shooting the upcoming movie on location in Louisiana and New Orleans, where he was visited on set by British girlfriend Suki last week.

Bradley plays the title character - a genius cook who returns to London after some time away, with hopes to land his own kitchen and that elusive third Michelin star.

To do so, he'll need to team up with the best, which includes the beautiful Helene, portrayed by Sienna Miller. The film was originally named The Chef but Jon Favreau had food truck flick Chef in the works which caused confusion.

The matter was eventually resolved and the Weinstein movie renamed Adam Jones.
