But Zoe Saldana is confidently showing off her baby bump while on the promotional trail for Guardians Of The Galaxy.

The 36-year-old accentuated her blossoming belly in a Diane von Furstenberg wrap dress as she arrived at Watch What Happens Live in New York City on Monday.

Zoe has been busy promoting her new film Guardians Of The Galaxy where she plays the green-skinned warrior alien Gamora alongside Chris Pratt as Peter Quill or Star-Lord.

The actress was seen earlier that day in the arriving at the Good Morning America studios wears a clingy burgundy silk dress by Calvin Klein, which highlighted her baby bump.

She complimented her long sleeve dress, from the Spring 2014 Calvin Klein collection and designed by Francisco Costa, with beige Louboutin slingback heels and a a few simple rings, stopping outside the studios to sign autographs for a number of waiting fans.

In Guardians Of The Galaxy, Chris Pratt's character - a half alien, half human - leads a gang consisting of what he dubs 'a thief, two thugs, an assassin and a maniac.'

Rocket Racoon (voiced by Zoe's ex Bradley Cooper) is a genetically engineered bounty hunter and mercenary while Drax The Destroyer (Dave Bautista) is a powerful warrior, while Groot (voiced by Vin Diesel) is a tree-like humanoid and Rocket's accomplice.

'These are not heroes. They are renegades and misfts,' Zoe told Good Morning America on Monday. 'And they learn to do something right by doing all the wrong things at first.'

The star-studded cast also features Glenn Close as Rael, the commander of the Nova Corps, Benecio Del Toro as villain The Collector and Lee Pace as baddie Ronan while ex-Doctor Who star Karen Gillan plays alien supervillain Nebula.

During the interview, Zoe also revealed that she thought long and hard about taking on the role, following her appearances in both the Avatar and Star Trek films.

'It was difficult at first because I didn't want to just do films that take place in space back to back,' she said. 'But they come in such beautiful packages with great filmmakers, great studios, and a great cast. It's always a beautiful challenge for me and at the same time, I cannot deny I've always had an affinity for the unknown and imagining the unimaginable.

'So I thought, It would be stupid of me to pass on this amazing opportunity just out of fear of what others might think and for fear of being boxed,' she added. 'I thought I can always do other things and at the same time, it feels good to be in space.'
