'Terribly inconvenient!' Mario Lopez opens up about tearing his rotator cuff as he shares snap of his injured arm
Mario Lopez is waiting to find out if he needs surgery after suffering a nasty injury to his arm.
The 40-year-old Extra television host had his left arm in a blue sling in the photograph he posted for his 270,000 Instagram followers.
'Tore my rotator cuff,' he wrote, before adding: 'Terribly inconvenient.. Waiting to see if I need surgery.'

And he exapnded on his treatment, explaining: 'Got a cortisone shot & IV with dilaudid and it still hurts. Buzzin like a chainsaw though...
'Not being able to train is gonna make me crazy! Too hyper, need to burn it off. Feel sorry for @courtneym_lopez , she now has to deal with me... #NotFun #ThanksDrByron.'
The onetime X Factor host was referencing his wife Courtney who he met in 2006 as performers in Broadway's revival of A Chorus Line and married in December 2012 in Mexico.

Mario later tweeted that he was recuperating with pain relief medication.
'Laid up in bed & gonna catch up on some serious DVR... Wow, Percocet is a helluva drug #FeelingLoopy,' he tweeted to his 940,000 Twitter followers.
The former Saved By The Bell actor was a wrestling star in the early 1990s at his San Diego-area high school and has kept in tip-top shape over the years.

The fitness fanatic wrote in his 2008 book Mario Lopez's Knockout Fitness that it is not always about hours in the gym and followed his own advice in May while working out in a park with his children.
The star wrote: 'Part of making exercise fun is getting out of the gym once in a while, that way, when you do hit the gym, you’ll want to be there, rather than feeling like a prisoner trapped forever in an iron dungeon.'
Mario and Courtney have a three-year-old daughter Gia and a 10-month-old son Dominic.
