As a renowned hottie and former Baywatch babe, Carmen Electra is well-known for her dazzling red carpet appearance.

And Wednesday's casual trip to the nail salon wouldn't have been complete without a top-to-toe rock chick ensemble of distressed skinny jeans, black t-shirt and peep-toe studded stiletto heels. 

With her signature 'messy' locks and the obligatory pair of shades, Carmen had her look nailed.

Cracking a platinum smile, she left InStyle Nails in West Hollywood, before heading into clothing and gift store, Kitson, for a browse.

The 42-year-old pin-up, who played Lani McKenzie in Baywatch in the late nineties, was as camera-ready as ever en route, happily striking pose after pose. 

The classic over the shoulder smile made an appearance, with Carmen proudly showing off her famous derriere.

Then, proving that she really is rock'n'roll, Carmen flicked a peace sign at snappers as she strutted into the shop. 

As one would expect from a former Playboy centrefold, she certainly knows her angles and had no problem working them. 

In addition to her modelling, Carmen has added to her CV with stints as a judge on Britain's Got Talent and host of MTV's Singled Out.

She was originally a singer and dancer, however, touring with that other pint-sized pop star, Prince, after he discovered her at just 18. 

Carmen's notched up a couple of high-profile ex-husbands since then – flamboyant former basketball player Dennis Rodman and Red Hot Chili Peppers star Dave Navarro. 

There's no danger that middle-age will cause Carmen to do anything differently however, having recently revealed that, 'Hitting my 40s has made me feel sexier than ever'.
