And Jennifer Aniston knows just how to maintain her good looks, paying a visit to a Beverly Hills spa on Friday.

The 45-year-old flashed her toned and tanned legs in a pair of cutoff denim shorts, pulling her hair into a ponytail to show off her dewy skin.

The Horrible Bosses 2 star hid her eyes behind a pair of gold aviator sunglasses, and dressed casually on the hot day.

Teaming a simple purple T-shirt with the tiny shorts, the youthful-looking A-lister belied her years.

Carrying a huge white tote, which seemed to hold another bag inside it, Jennifer also had a male companion on hand to hold what appeared to be a make-up case.

Ditching the fishtail braid she sported on Monday, the Friends actress had scraped her short blonde locks into a ponytail.

Posting a snap of his Friend via Instagram on Thursday, celebrity stylist Chris McMillan showed the actress sporting an artfully messy fishtail braid.

A smiling Jennifer looked very happy with the new look as she posed for the picture, loose blonde tendrils framing her famous face.

The hair salon posted the snap, alongside the several hashtags: '#jenniferaniston #braid #fishtail #summer-hair #unplugged @livingproofinc #lovethisgirl'

Aniston was spotted heading into the Beverly Hills salon on Monday for a regular style on her famous mane looking casual in a black blazer, jeans and white top.

During the session, she was visited by her fiancée Justin Theroux, who generously stopped by the salon to help Jennifer Aniston pass the time as her long time stylist got to work.

The actress became well known for her layered choppy 'Rachel' cut back in 1994 but has since described the style as 'the ugliest haircut I've ever seen.'

She added to Allure back in 2011: 'Let's say there have been moments I'd rather not re-live, like that whole Rachel thing. I love Chris [McMillan] and he's the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look.

Later that year, Aniston was also quizzed on whether she would rather shave her head once or have the Rachel haircut for the rest of her life, and replied: 'Shave my hair once, definitely. 'The Rachel for the rest of my life? Shave my head once! Yeah, I'd shave my head once!'

Jennifer has completed filming indie movie Cake and will also reprise her role as the sex mad dentist Julia in Horrible Bosses 2 out in November.
