We're Equals! Kristen Stewart and on-screen love interest Nicholas Hoult unite as they attend Tokyo press conference for their new film
Kristen Stewart was once again the centre of attention on Friday as she attended a Tokyo press conference for forthcoming film Equals with co-star Nicholas Hoult.
The 24-year-old actress is currently in the Far East while she prepares to shoot for the new feature – which has drawn comparisons with George Orwell’s bleak dystopian novel, Nineteen Eighty-Four.
Taking a seat alongside Hoult , she looked typically casual in a maroon vest and skinny jeans prior to fielding questions from members of the press.

Here she comes: Kristen Stewart opted for a casual ensemble comprised of maroon vest top, skinny jeans and brogues for her appearance at the Tokyo press conference for new film Equals on Friday
Kristen – best known for her role as Bella Swann in the hugely successful Twilight franchise – completed her look with a pair of tan coloured brogue shoes, worn with no socks.
The actress plays central character Nia in the new film – in which all humans are ‘equals’ in a near future where feelings of love, hate and envy have been erased.
Given the stark backdrop, British star Hoult – who takes the role of love interest Silas - admitted it was challenging to manufacture on-screen emotions.

‘It’s always a weird position to be put in any film where the director chooses two people and is saying “Hey, potentially in this world I’m creating you two could fall in love,”’ he said.
‘Sometimes (the situation) feels forced and tricky and awkward, but the kind of environment Drake (Doremus, director) created was straight forward and easy.
‘Kristen is a great actress and that just makes it very relaxed and my job very easy.’
Meanwhile his co-star admitted the visceral emotions her role demanded were less problematic.
‘I’m definitely not afraid of “feels.” My life revolves around it actually,’ she said. ‘Finding the balance between the head and the heart is important but I’ve always been very driven by the gut.
‘Every thought or articulated emotion starts in shapes and colors and putting your finger on that is cool, but it’s not necessary.’
Earlier in the week Kristen and Nicholas were spotted dining out together at a local sushi restaurant.

Twitter user @turducken09 snapped a couple of photos of the pair as they tucked into fresh fish while sitting side-by-side at the restaurant counter, which he then shared on social media.
'Had the best sushi breky this morning at Daiwa in Tsukiji Fish Market w/ famous peeps. #kristenstewart #nicholashoult (sic),' he captioned a snap in which the two actors could be seen leaving the eatery following their meal.
Both were dressed down for the outing, with Kristen clad in pale blue jeans and a cropped white midriff-baring T-shirt through which her dark bra was visible.
She had a yellow and black plaid shirt tied around her waist and slipped a navy blue cap on backwards over her recently lopped locks as she tucked into the food before removing it as she headed out during a break before they begin shooting their new film.
Equals is scheduled for release in 2015.
