'He will live in my heart forever!' Glee star Becca Tobin sends heartfelt message following the death of boyfriend Matt Bendik

She's kept a low profile ever since her boyfriend Matt Bendik's tragic death on July 10th.

And Becca Tobin has broken her silence to send thanks to her fans for their support through the difficult time.

The Glee star shared a photo to Instagram of herself with the late 35-year-old on Saturday and included the message: 'Thank you all for the love and support. Matt was the most extraordinary man I knew and he will live in my heart forever.'

In the snap, the 28-year-old tilts her head to the side as her left arm wraps around Matt.

Keeping their faces close to each other, the couple appear in good spirits as they both sport grins in the tender picture.

This is the first time the blonde actress has opened up following the unexpected death of her boyfriend.

On July 10th, the nightclub owner was found dead by a maid in a room at the Hotel Moncao in Philadelphia.

The cause of his death has not been revealed, but authorities said there was no evidence he committed suicide and that no drugs, medication or weapons were found at the scene, TMZ reported.

Following the news of his sudden death a source told MailOnline, 'Matt's family is devastated.'

'His parents worry he may have died from a heart attack because he worked so hard, almost a workaholic. He had plans for a major career, he wanted to do well.

'He and Becca were madly in love and talked marriage and having a family. She is inconsolable.

'He was a great guy, totally clean, didn't  do drugs, he was just extremely ambitious which his family fears led to his death. It's very sad because Becca was so in love and saw a long future with him.'

Tobin plays the character of cheerleader Kitty Wilde on the FOX hit Glee.

She made her first appearance in the fourth season, in the premiere episode The New Rachel in 2012.

The sixth and final season of the series will consist of a 13 uninterrupted episodes and is scheduled to premiere at midseason in 2015.
