It looks like Rachel Bilson's pregnancy is coming along nicely, which might explain why she's needs some new things.

The 32-year-old Hart Of Dixie star certainly couldn't conceal that huge baby bump as she stepped out to do some shopping most likely for the nursery in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Rachel - who is said to be having a girl - was wearing a ruffled chocolate-brown frock with no apparent waistline, spaghetti straps and decorative lacing in front, but underneath the thin material even her belly button was showing.

Turning around, a cut-out in the back showed more skin and allowed some extra ventilation as well.

The brunette star's footwear was a wise choice for someone in her condition - canvas trainers with comfy soles.

Rachel shouldered a metallic-tinged taupe bag and wore her signature red-framed Sicky Eyewear sunglasses.

The former OC star is expecting her first child with her boyfriend of seven years, actor Hayden Christensen, 33.

The couple, who met on the set of 2007's Jumpers, recently enjoyed a holiday in Barbados after confirming, on May 21, that they were due to welcome a child to their family.

Rachel's co-star McKaley Miller spilled the beans on the baby's sex when she told HollywoodLife.com: 'I haven’t bought her anything yet because I feel like it has to be super special. She’s such a fashionista, it’s gotta so be cute and so perfect for her little girl.'

McKaley also revealed plans for a Bilson baby shower possibly in her last month of pregnancy.

'We probably will end up throwing a baby shower because we will end up filming until the month or so that she has her baby,' McKaley added.

Rachel's Hart Of Dixie co-star, Jaime King, recalled her reaction to Us Weekly when she heard Rachel was pregnant, saying: 'I was freaking out. I knew she wanted a baby, she wanted it so badly. I'm really thrilled for her.'

Rachel spoke to Health magazine of her desire for children earlier this year, confessing: 'To start a family would be good, any year in the next few years. I've always wanted to be a mom. I have always wanted kids. I can just see this little toddler waddling around the house.'
