'You don’t get far without goals, drive, commitment, sacrifice': Rosie Huntington-Whiteley opens up about love and work

She is one of the most recognisable faces in the industry and taking command of the September issue of Harper's Bazaar, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has opened up about her ambitions.

Explaining how she's been 'lucky' with career opportunities she has been presented with, the 27-year-old British model stuns in the shots taken by David Slijper.

Dressed in pieces by Donna Karan, Stella McCartney, Chanel, Gucci and Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane, Rosie also talks about the perks of dating Jason Statham and how he keeps her grounded.

Speaking about her ambitions and success so far, Rosie said: '‘I’ve done several interviews where people have written about my ambition like it’s a bad thing.

'I’ve been lucky, I’ve been given some incredible opportunities but you also have to be focused. You don’t get far without goals, drive, commitment, sacrifice.’

With that said, she also went on to describe her thought process behind designing her range for Marks & Spencer, asserting: ‘I was really conscious that I didn’t want to put out a product where women would think, “Oh, she’s made something that only a twenty-something model can wear.” That’s no fun to me.

'I love women and I wanted to make something for all women.'

She added: 'Women actually come up to me and show me their bras. I get tweets and texts, and people will Instagram what they’re wearing, and it’s women of all different shapes and sizes and ages, and that makes me very proud.’

Giving Jennifer Lopez a run for her money one of the breathtaking stills, sees Rosie with her hands in the air as she effortlessly dons the blood red Donna Karan sheer gown which the Jenny From The Block singer wore to the Billboard Awards back in May.

Currently dating actor Jason Statham, the Transformers actress gushed about the perks of dating an Englishman while living in Hollywood.

Rosie said: ‘That’s what makes being with an Englishman out there so great. I mean, we live in Hollywood, for f***’s sake. It would be easy to lose touch with reality.’

Revealing another layer to herself, Rosie did unravel more as she spoke about her desire to be closer to her family members.

‘I do battle with wanting to be closer to my family, wanting to call my brother on a Sunday and ask him to come round and watch The X Factor, or be there to support my sister, or go shopping with my mum,' she explained.

Continuing she added: 'Not being able to do that can get me down. But I feel really grateful that I do get to be here once a month.’
