With their ties to reality TV and famous siblings, Kylie Jenner and Sofia Richie seemed destined to be friends.

Kylie and Sofia proved that theory correct as they enjoyed a day of shopping at Fred Segal and then Best Buy in West Hollywood on Thursday.

The two girls, who are both 16, were even dressed alike in high-top black trainers, black jeans and T-shirts during their fun outing that also included Sofia's brother Miles, 20.

Let's go shopping: Kylie Jenner and Sofia Richie enjoyed a day of shopping in West Hollywood on Thursday while dressed in similar outfits

The friends did differentiate slightly for while Kylie opted for a white top and trendy tears in her jeans, Sofia opted for a grey striped shirt and solid jeans with no rips.

After a visit to the Fred Segal clothing store, Kylie and Sofia hit up their local Best Buy for some high-tech wares.

Checking out, they idled by the register as the cashier rang up their items and tried to look incognito.

Kylie stood with one dark-manicured hand on her hip and her raven-black hair sporting one small topknot and her dark-framed shades.

Sofia, who is Nicole Richie's younger sister and appears on the offbeat VH1 reality show Candidly Nicole, sported a furry yellow keychain and her white-framed sunglasses were propped up on her own blonde hair and acting as a sort of headband.

Tall Miles - who is also a good friend of Kylie and her sister Kendall - kept a low profile in reverse baseball cap, graphic print T-shirt and long yellow shorts.

Kylie and Sofia - who posed for picture together at The Imagine Ball in LA on Wednesday night - have been spotted on similar outings together over the months and share an affection for shopping and grunge attire.

Sofia gives her sister Nicole some credit, however.

'Nicole is definitely my style icon, and she's the best person to go shopping with,' Sofia told Teen Vogue in 2012.

Change will do you good: Sofia stepped out again on Thursday to grab a bite at Mauro's Restaurant and this time wearing black leggings, grey T-shirt and a plaid shirt wrapped around her waist

Her big sister has some advice for Sofia before she ventures out into the world.

'She always tells me to enjoy childhood because it doesn't last forever,' Sofia said.
