Australia's favourite royal export, Crown Princess Mary and her husband HRH Crown Prince Frederik have almost wrapped-up their eight day tour of Greenland, but not before making a stop in the remote village of Qeqertarsuatsiaat.

The family-of-six visited the settlement of just 300 people on Tuesday, meeting children the same ages as Princess Isabella, seven, twins Princess Josephine and Prince Vincent and Prince Christian, eight, at the local childcare centre Amauligaq.

Mingling with the other children, the pint-sized royals watched on as their mother accompanied a group from the centre through a game before posing for a family photograph at Tele House lookout.

Standing side-by-side for the happy snap, they fronted a spectacular backdrop of the Labrador Sea and lush landscape.

The young Princes were in dapper attire for the visit, wearing colourful trousers, collared shorts and knitted cardigans.

The couple's eldest daughter Isabella looked to take wardrobe cues from her stylish mother, who wore a similar knitted look over a long-sleeved under garment.

Next stop in the small village was the unveiling ceremony of a memorial plaque.

The young twins helped their father do the honours as their older siblings and Tasmanian-born mother stood back.

The final leg of Tuesday's agenda was Kaffemik, a traditional social gathering where guests meet and drink coffee.

Mary and Fred were joined by locals at a long table adorned with candles and local flora as they soaked up the cool summers day.
