Pregnant! Ali Larter reveals to Jimmy Fallon she's expecting her second child with husband Hayes MacArthur as she proudly shows off bump
Ali Larter has been hiding a secret.
The 38-year-old actress told Jimmy Fallon during her appearance on The Tonight Show on Friday evening she has been trying to conceal her baby bump for the past few months, but now wanted to let the news out that she is expecting her second child with husband Hayes MacArthur.
'It's such a scary time and I've been trying to hide it as much as I can,' the Heroes star said. 'I was still shooting my [TV] spy drama [Legends], so I have to be a covert spy in my own life too. I've been wearing blazers and push up bras. Anything to distract my bump.'
Another baby on the way: Ali Larter revealed her bump while on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Friday evening; this is her second child with husband Hayes MacArthur
Oddly enough, The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon is where the blonde beauty announced her first pregnancy with son Theodore.
'Last time you were here was three years ago and you were pregnant on the show,' Fallon said.
'Yeah, I came on and it was pregnant and it went so well,' the nineties teen queen, who stunned in a black and metallic patterned dress with a black cardigan, said. 'So I told my husband I was going on Fallon so I gotta get pregnant!'
A family woman: The TV star has been married to 37-year-old MacArthur since December 2010
Blooming lovely: Larter stepped out to promote her upcoming show Legends on Thursday, at the NBC Rockefeller Center Studios, where she made an appearance on the Today Show
Nice profile: The 38-year-old actress was noticeably with child when she stopped by the Rockefeller center in her tight dress and white heels
On Thursday the former model showed off a bit of a bump as she looked pretty in a pink floral dress to stop by the NBC Rockefeller Center Studios for the Today Show.
As well as promoting her recently released cookbook, Kitchen Revelry: A Year Of Festive Menus From My Home to Yours, Ali also spoke about how her FBI agent character's life on Legends is so different to her own.
The 38-year-old said: 'At home I'm with my three-year-old, Teddy, [and I'm] doing pre-school runs covered in flour.
Making waves: The stunning actress was all smiles as she made her way into the studios
'And then I get to go to work and play this woman who has chosen a different route. She doesn't have a family, she doesn't have personal relationships. She's gives her life to her job... So it's really fun to have that dichotomy.'
Ali has admitted that she and her husband, comedian Hayes MacArthur, briefly left the US for Europe in a bid to hide that she was pregnant with little Theodore, who was born in December 2010.
In July, the actress was joined by her Legends co-stars Tina Majorino and Morris Chestnut at Comic Con International in San Diego, California, as they promoted Legends.
New identity: Ali said that her FBI role in Legends is so different to her real life at home, which she shares with comedian husband Hayes MacArthur and their three-year-old son Theodore
The show, which begins its 10-episode run on August 13, stars Game Of Thrones alum Sean Bean as undercover FBI agent Martin Odum.
Odum has the uncanny ability to transform himself into a different 'legend' with his own way of living in order to solve a crime, even as Odum himself begins to question his sanity.
Ali plays his earthy sidekick Crystal McGuire who helps to steer Odum away from the brink.
The screen beauty previously starred in TV show Heroes about a group of people with special powers.
Despite her tough roles on TV and in horror movies, Ali admitted on the Today Show that she's a little timid in real-life situations.
She said: 'I am such a scaredy-cat. I can act tough, but I'm really not like that. I hate that feeling... I don't know why I keep going back to [horror movie roles].'
Promotional duties: Ali also visited the SiriusXM Studios on Thursday as she tirelessly promoted Legends
